The Angry Birds Event this past Saturday was a wonderful success. 53 people out of 59 who signed up attended and we grossed $1,108 with a net donation to the church of $708. All items in the gift bags were donated. Carmel Cinema donated the use of the theater and charged only $8 for staff and clean-up, soda and popcorn. The committee consisting of Megan Whalen, Amanda Slattery, Fran DiBernardo and Glenn Hintze did an outstanding job and we had strong support from Maria Kaprielian, Rick Vesperman, Chris Palmer, Kathleen Parsons, Sharen McKenna and Rev. Gwyneth.
Our next event will be our Antiques show on Sept. 17th. This will be an event where you can stop wondering how much that family treasure is worth and for a modest charge bring it to COGS for an appraisal by an expert.
