Episcopal Relief & Development is the domestic and international relief and development agency of The Episcopal Church of the United States. ER-D is uniquely positioned to offer aid “on the ground” by using existing Episcopal and Anglican churches and dioceses that are already located in disaster and crisis areas.
Good Shepherd supports ER-D. During Lent we provide information about ER-D and we raise an annual collection to support of the ER-D US Disaster Program. When international crisis and disasters arise, we also direct out parishioners and friends to support ER-D with their own financial donations. You can donate to ED-D here.
We take our mandate from the words of Jesus, found in Matthew 25: 37-40, that call us to feed the hungry, care for the sick and welcome the stranger.
