The poem below was written for the Feast of Pentecost … it is a good prayer at any time, especially during the Season after Pentecost. The Poet Christine Rodgers is a friend and colleague of Rev. Gwyneth’s. Christine is delighted for people to share her poetry; she asks only that her name and website be included.
A PRAYER AT PENTECOST
Come then
gorgeous
Spirit.
Cover the
entire
world
with your
wings of
flame.
Burn your
love
back into
our hearts –
our
grieving
aching hearts
that want
so much
to be opened.
