Quieter Christmas

Candlelit Quieter Christmas prayer service. A simple supper will be served at 6:30pm. There’s no need to bring anything. Just show up and be nourished in body and soul.
Is the “rah-rah” and commercialization of Christmas just too much for you to bear this year? Feeling a little blue? Know someone who is going through a loss? Come yourself and invite others to experience our candlelit Quieter Christmas Prayer Service this Friday evening. A simple supper will be served ahead of time.
The Quieter Christmas service is a service of prayer and traditional Advent hymns wherein we pray for those we love (and perhaps have lost) and where we experience the power of Advent but in a softer way. No demands for happy-happy at this service; this service lets us feel all our feelings and invites us to lay them in the loving arms of God. It’s perfect for those who find the hyper-commercialization of the secular Christmas season just too much to bear. All are invited.
