The funeral for Flo Barber will be at Good Shepherd on SATURDAY, JUNE 18th at NOON.
Following the service, there will be a reception in the parish hall.
Below are details as of today. To volunteer for anything listed below, please contact the parish office admin@goodshepherdny.org or 914-248-5631>
– Past and present members of the choir are invited to sing at the service. Please contact Choir Director Cecilia or office.
– We’ll need extra seating, so we need volunteers to clean up the balcony and the choir room (to the left as you walk into the Church), and to set up additional chairs. Please contact the office.
– We’ll need volunteers to serve as ushers, acolytes and chalice bearers. Please contact Rick Vesperman or office.
– We’ll need volunteers to set up, serve and clean up for the reception. No one is yet in charge of this; if you would like to help out, please contact parish office. (Tables and chairs will be left out for the Jones’ farewell party Saturday night and the Special Bishop’s Visit and Fathers’ Day BBQ/Coffee hour on Sunday. There will be a quick turnaround for washing tablecloths!)
– Flo liked flowers, but she preferred flowering plants which could be put in the ground to live for a long time. So at the service, there will be butterfly bushes behind the altar, which will be planted in the Memorial Garden after the Bishop’s Visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 1) The Memorial Garden Fund at Good Shepherd 2) St. Jude’s Hospital for Children 3) the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) earmarked for programs for Veterans.
