Dear all,
The Youth Group will attend the YOUTH CONFERENCE
On Saturday, October 24th, the Charles L. Brieant Center will be holding a Youth Conference at St. Mark’s Parish Hall in Mt. Kisco. The purpose of the conference is to have students, grades 8 through 12, listen to the experiences of kids who were incarcerated and get their thoughts about the best way to reduce juvenile crime and gun violence. Following the conference the students’ recommendations will be presented to leaders from the public and private sector. To register for the conference, please go to www.brieantcenter.org.
Our own Rev. Deacon Norman Fulton is coordinating th event.
There is no charge to attend for each registered student who participates. A nominal fee will be required for each parent who attends. This money will be used to provide educational training on prevention during the school year. A scrumptious BBQ will be provided for lunch. Each conference recipient will receive a gift bag provided by TD Bank.
Please confirm with Fay if you will attend. I can drive 6 youth in my car. We will meet at the Church parking lot at 8:45 am.
