We currently have 50 Pledges for 2014 for a total of $127,324. Our goal is $150,000.
Every year the church hands out Pledge Cards which ask each family or member to make a financial commitment to support the church for the coming year. By signing and filling out the card (which is kept confidentially by the parish Financial Secretary), the church knows it can count on your financial support for the coming year. Our goal for 2014 for the total signed pledges is $150,000. With that amount, we can continue to offer the pastoral care and ministries that have led to the amazing growth of the church over the last few years — since 2009 we have doubled our Sunday service attendance, quadrupled our weekday service attendance, quadrupled our ministry and fellowship offerings, completed over $200,000 in capital improvements to the property, and more than doubled our overall pledged giving!
Good Shepherd is growing and prospering. Whether you are a new member or someone who has deep family roots at Good Shepherd, you are the reason that we are thriving. Therefore, I invite you to join me in making a pledge to support Good Shepherd financially in 2014. The amount is up to you: prayerfully decide on an amount or percentage that you can commit to for 2014. I hope you will consider joining several families (including mine) by tithing to Good Shepherd (10%, off the top of your income). Likewise, I invite you to use the other gifts that God has given to you to support ongoing and new ministries at Good Shepherd.
For those who have not yet made a pledge, pledge cards are available at the church. They can be placed in the collection plate at the offering, or given to the financial secretary or mailed to the parish office.
If you are interested in making an E-Pledge (which is by far the easiest and most convenient way for you to pledge, and also the most convenient for the church), info and forms are available below. Please note that we still need E-Pledgers to fill out a traditional pledge card.
