We have 11 teenage confirmands signed up for 2013-2014.
Our first class is THIS SATURDAY, October 26, beginning at 4PM.
Our evening on Saturday is outlined as follows:
CLASS 1: GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER OVER DINNER & THE GIFTS OF GOD
4PM – Parents drop off young people at Good Shepherd for dinner and the class.
4PM to 5PM – assist Father Matt and the other chaperone with cooking and setting up for dinner – we are having beef tenderloin (filet mignon), roasted potatoes, sautéed mushroom and roasted broccoli.
5PM – Said Eucharist – the young people will read the Scripture and Prayers
5:30 PM – finish setting up for dinner and introductions
6PM – 7PM – Discussion over dinner: We are called by Jesus to identify and use the gifts that God has given to each of us.
7PM – 7:30PM – cleanup and setup for Sunday’s Halloween Party.
7:30 PM – Parents pick up young people from Good Shepherd.
Session 2a will be a trip to the Community Center of Northern Westchester to tour, drop off supplies, and stock shelves of the food pantry at 10 AM on Saturday, November 23, followed by lunch at Il Forno Pizza.
