Update since Sunday

Hi everyone,

I wanted to provide you with some updates since Sunday’s 10 am service. In case you were not aware, a few people experienced some mishaps and I want to update you about them.

Arthur R. fainted in church on Sunday. I met with Arthur and Gwen in their home on Sunday evening. We talked, shared the Eucharist, and Arthur looked very good and was feeling “normal” (his words). He and Gwen met with his doctors Monday morning and they feel very positive about their understanding of why this happened. They are very grateful for everyone’s prayers and concerns. Gwen shall be back in church on Sunday but Arthur has been told to rest, so he will remain at home until he doesn’t feel light-headed standing up and kneeling suddenly. They welcome your continued prayers.

I also spoke with Teri O., Mr. Hal’s daughter. Hal tripped and fell in church at the 10 am service by the communion rail and he is feeling fine with no ill effects from his stumble.

Cruz P., the matriarch of the Trinidad family, was feeling “chills” in church and a little unsteady. The Trinidads report that she is fine, too, and that all is well. Rick V. checked the thermostat and our temperature settings in church so we are ready for the fall weather.

Thank you, everyone, for your concern for these members of our community. It’s a delight to have nothing but positive news to report.

Heavenly Father, we give you thanks for the health of Arthur, Hal, and Cruz. Continue in them, we pray, the good work you have begun, that they may daily increase in bodily strength and rejoice in your daily goodness. In your holy name we pray. Amen.

Faithfully,
Fr. Hal
