I am absolutely delighted to share the news that in our first drop of bags to the Community Center of Northern Westchester, we delivered 764.4 pounds of food! These are just a few words that come to mind: Wow! Amazing! Incredible! Fantastic! Hooray!
Our community embraced the challenge to exceed last year’s Oktoberfest 1-day collection of 650 lbs., and we certainly did that. The volunteers at CCNW were amazed and so very grateful. Great job, Good Shepherd!! You just helped so many people right here in Northern Westchester.
So far we have delivered 47 of the 100 bags to the CCNW. There are still 19 bags hanging in the narthex, which means that 34 bags are still out in circulation. Please fill those bags and bring them back to church, and we’ll keep track of the running total.
This food drive will continue for the next 2 Sundays.
Way to go, parish family! It really is a joy to be part of such a caring and giving community.
