Dear fellow parishioners,
Welcome to September, where life at our parish is in full swing! Last week we joyfully welcomed our new Rector, Father Hal Roark, and his wife Lori to our community. Their daughter Lily has just started college, so we look forward to meeting her on her first visit home!
This week, things really get rolling. Please take note of all of the coming events (beginning with a very full Sunday tomorrow), and plan to take part. Everything is so much better when you are there!
Sunday
8:00am – Holy Eucharist (Rite I)
9:00am – Monthly breakfast with the 8:00ers
10:00am – Holy Eucharist (Rite II) with hymns and our annual Blessing of Backpacks!
Please have your children of all ages bring their backpacks for a blessing.
Sunday School Registration will begin after the 10:00am service. Please find Megan in the breezeway!
11:30am – Events Committee meeting
All are welcome to attend and hear about what we have planned through Christmas (and there’s a lot!). Coming to the meeting does not obligate you to join the committee, but we always welcome new members and new ideas.

There will be delicious BBQ and baked goods for sale throughout the day, as well as amazing live entertainment from our talented parishioners and friends. The evening will culminate with a special concert at 4:00pm from the Colgate 13, including parishioner Alexander Weig (Fay Wright’s son)! Please come and enjoy a wonderful day and help support this innovative fundraiser. Tell your friends!

Friday, September 30 – Michaelmas & Oktoberfest
Join us for our annual celebration of St. Michael & All Angels, followed by our always fabulous Oktoberfest! More information will follow, but please look for a signup sheet in the breezeway. As part of this celebration, we will again conduct a MAJOR food drive for our Community Partners at the Community Center of Northern Westchester. At last year’s Oktoberfest, we collected nearly 700 lbs in one day! Look for reusable bags in the narthex.
