YOUTH CONFERENCE
October 24, 2015
Sponsored by the Charles L. Brieant Center
On Saturday, October 24th, the Charles L. Brieant Center will be holding a Youth Conference at St. Mark’s Parish Hall in Mt. Kisco. The purpose of the conference is to have students, grades 8 through 12, listen to the experiences of those who were incarcerated and get their thoughts about the best way to reduce juvenile crime and gun violence. Following the conference the student’s recommendations will be presented to leaders from the public and private sector. In early 2016 we are planning a trip to Albany to discuss the student’s thoughts with our representatives and a photo op with the Governor. To register for the conference, please go to www.brieantcenter.org. For further information please contact Norman Fulton at nhfulton@comcast.net.
There is no charge to attend. A nominal fee will be required for each parent who attends. A scrumptious BBQ will be provided for lunch. Each conference recipient will receive a gift bag provided by TD Bank and a very special donor.
We are grateful to The Reverend William Doubleday and the people of St. Mark’s Parish for donating the use of the parish hall and breakout rooms.
