CCNW update
Thank you for your generous response to the appeal for food and school supplies for the Community Center of Northern Westchester. We were informed that school supplies are still being collected throughout August. A complete list of supplies is posted in the breezeway, but this is what is most needed:
Glue sticks
Black & white composition notebooks
Single subject notebooks
#2 pencils (packages of 12)
Two-pocket folders
3×3 post-its
Colored pencils & crayons
In addition, a donation of $25 to the CCNW will provide a student with basic supplies.
YTD we have donated 475.8 lbs of food and supplies. Let’s keep up the great work!
Vacation Bible Camp is this week! (August 24-26)
Are your kids registered? Contact Megan Whalen with any questions, and get the kids ready to enjoy a fantastic 3 days with their parish family!
Holy Cross Day & Chickenfest (September 14)
Join us for Evening Prayer at 6:30pm followed by our righteous potluck chickenfest! All chicken dishes are welcome – be creative and come have some fun! A sign up sheet is in the breezeway.
Blessing of Backpacks & Sunday School Registration are coming up on September 20!
Our second annual Arts Jam is also September 20! (12-4pm)
We’ll have poetry, fine art on display, music, readings and other performance! If you wish to be involved as a participant, please see Cecilia (music), Maria Kaprielian (art display) or Scott Jones (anything else and all of the above). You still have several weeks to prepare to showcase your wonderful talents. Please also see Maria or Scott if you have arts and crafts you wish to put on table for display and/or sale. This year, we will be providing burgers, dogs, soda and water etc. and encourage attendees to bring their own sides and any other beverages. A sign-up sheet for food contributions is in the breezeway.
