Help us support the food pantry at CCNW!

As you know, Good Shepherd is a Community Partner with the Community Center of Northern Westchester, and we support CCNW through a variety of initiatives. Throughout the year, we collect food items and supplies which are delivered to the food pantry at CCNW each month by volunteers in the congregation.

Our goal for 2015 is to collect 1,000 pounds of food for the CCNW. Unfortunately, we are well below our goal, having collected only 336.5 lbs. as of July 24th. Please help us to get back on track to meet our goal of 1,000 lbs. by bringing your food donations to church. These are the most needed items:

Canned fruit and vegetables
Dried and canned beans
Hot and cold cereal
Tuna and canned meat
Cans of soup, beef stew and chili
Pasta, rice and spaghetti sauce
Peanut butter and jelly
Fruit juice
Baby food and diapers
Dry or shelf-stable milk

Good Shepherd is such a wonderful, giving congregation. Let’s continue to join together to serve the people in need in our community!

Thank you for your support!

Reminder: Tomorrow we welcome back The Rev. Peter Powell as our Celebrant and Preacher at both services:
8:00am – Said Eucharist (Rite I)
8:50am – Bible Reflection in the Guild Room
10:00am – Said Eucharist with Hymns (Rite II)
