Friday, May 2, at 7:00 PM we have our 5th Annual Wine/Beer Tasting Gala!
FUN: Our beer is provided and poured by our friends at Captain Lawrence Brewery. Our wine is provided and poured by our friends at Suburban Wine in Yorktown Heights. In addition to tasting great wine and beer, there will be heavy hors d’oeuvres served by members of our Youth Group. Childcare (for free) is provided; the children will watch the movie Planes.
FUND RAISING: The opportunity to buy wine and beer (to drink at home) is available at the tasting and 15% of all wine/beer sales go to Good Shepherd. We have a 50/50 Raffle, tickets are available at the event. We have a Silent Auction with a variety of wonderful items and gift certificates. The more people who come, the more money we raise from our wine/beer sales, raffle, and auction! Admission at the door is $30 (per adult) but if you and your family and friends now, you save money! Tickets in advance are $25 for 1 adult, $45 for 2 adults, $60 for 3 adults.
This Gala is one of our large annual fund raisers for the church, and we need your support to make it full of fun and funds! “How can I help?” you ask. There are three easy ways!
1) Help us advertise! Send the flyer below to people you know; post it on your Facebook newsfeed, Tweet it, print it out and hand it to the people in your office. Post it today, post it tomorrow, post it again next week. Make this flyer go VIRAL!
2) Buy tickets today for yourself and a few other people. If you email me (mead@goodshepherdny.org) right now and say you are buying three tickets for $60, then all you have to do is find a friend or two to bring with you. If you treat a friend, that person will certainly buy wine/beer, raffle tickets, and bid on an auction item.
3) Help build our silent auction or donate food. The silent auction has more than a dozen items right now; we are looking for a total of 20. We need Gift Certificates (especially from Restaurants). We need Talent related items (do you make something or do you work in an industry that is able to donate a specific service?). We also need people to sign up for foods for the Tasting (a signup sheet with specific foods is in the Breezeway). Please email mead@goodshepherdny.org if you have any auction items to donate.
