Today 13 members of our youth group and confirmation class went to the Community Center of Northern Westchester and toured their food pantry. We also brought in over 100 pounds of food, clothing, and supplies. Then we went to the Lasdon Park Veterans Memorial walk. Then we had pizza. It was a fantastic day! If you would like to donate to support the youth group activities, please write a check to Good Shepherd with “youth group” in the memo.
Tomorrow is Harvest Sunday and the feast of Christ the King. Please remember to bring in donations and supplies for the food pantry. They will be blessed at the 10 o’clock service.
Christ the King is the last Sunday of the Liturgical year….next Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent.
This week we have a Thanksgiving day service at 10 AM on Thanksgiving day. There is also an ecumenical service for all of the Yorktown congregations on Tuesday at 7:30 PM at mother Seton Catholic church.
