Sung Holy Eucharist (with many of your favorite angel hymns) will be offered at 5PM, Saturday, September 28.
The service is followed by our Oktoberfest. We will have a whole roast pig, smoked bratwurst, beer on draft from our friends at Captain Lawrence, a whole world of sides, salads, and desserts, and our annual Michaelmas commemorative stein (available for $15 each). The evening is free. Childcare is provided. A movie on the 15 foot jumbotron will be offered for all children.
Michaelmas is one of our food drive Holy Days for the Community Center of Northern Westchester. Last year we collected over 330 pounds of food and supplies on Michaelmas. Throughout the evening we will be collecting dried and canned goods, in particular:
· Canned fruit and vegetables
· Dried and canned beans
· Hot and cold cereal
· Tuna and canned meat
· Cans of soup, beef stew and chili
· Pasta, rice and spaghetti sauce
· Peanut butter and jelly
· Fruit juice
· Baby food and diapers
· Dry or shelf-stable milk
