This Sunday, after church services, the Senior Group will be presenting guest speaker Willie Nazario, Commander of the Westchester and Putnam Branches of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. The Purple Heart is awarded to military veterans wounded or killed in action.
The Military Order of the Purple Heart is a voluntary organization that helps all distressed veterans regardless of whether they earned a purple heart or not. They assist disabled veterans with addiction problems and mental health concerns and family issues. They are an advocacy organization to protect veterans rights.
