This Week at Good Shepherd

On Saturday, we will have a work session to clean up the parish grounds.  We will clean up the parish grounds (removing litter, dead flowers, and branches), and we will clean up the interior of the church (specifically the storage room in the Kitchen, Parish Hall, Guild Room and Robing Room).  We need to clean the cabinet faces in the kitchen and (with a ladder and someone to hold the ladder) remove the dust and dirt from the beams in the church (In certain lights, the beam over the organ looks to be several inches thick with dust).   We begin at 9AM.  Lunch will be provided (something made by the Rector – maybe BBQ, maybe not – and we have beer and soda too).  Potluck sides are needed for the lunch!

If anyone has a strong interest in getting involved (actual time commitments) in Diocesan Ecumenical & Interfaith activities, please let me know.

Maundy Thursday Agape Dinner is March 28 at 6:30 PM.  Last year we had lamb and chicken kabobs.  This year we plan to serve only chicken kabobs as part of our Mediterranean Themed dinner.  Is anyone interested in donating the money to buy the chicken?  It should be between $50 and $100 depending on the prince of chicken and the number of people signed up for the evening.

Easter Sunday is in 2 and a half weeks!  We do an Easter Egg Hunt every year on Easter, and we are looking for volunteers to organize the Easter Egg Hunt.  If you are interested in helping out, please let me know.  We need lots of plastic eggs and Easter Candle inside the eggs, hidden around the church property.  We also like to give out Easter Plants to the children.  I believe that the plants were $2 each and we purchased and had available 50 plants.  Does anyone want to donate the Easter Plants?  You can choose them yourself if you like, but they need to be in some individual container and we need at least 50 of them.  Or you can simply donate the cost of the plants.

The Vestry Meets Thursday, March 21, at 7:30 PM.
