\n10:00 Said Eucharist (Rite 2) with hymns, Saint Nicholas visit, and a blessing of the children and their mite boxes
\n11:00 High School Youth trip to the Cloisters – we’ll leave right after the service
\n3:00 Town of Somers Dedication of the Nativity Scene (Elephant Hotel – corner of Route 100 & Route 202 in Somers). Fr Hal and other local clergy will be present, and all in the community are invited.<\/p>\n
\nPlease join us Friday at 7:00 pm for our Quieter Advent prayer service. This is a candlelit service of prayer and traditional Advent hymns wherein we pray for those we love (and perhaps have lost) and where we experience the power of Advent but in a softer way. This service lets us feel all our feelings and invites us to lay them in the loving arms of God. It\u2019s perfect for those who find the hyper-commercialization of the secular Christmas season just too much to bear.<\/p>\n
\nOur wonderful Christmas Bazaar is coming up next Saturday, December 8 and we need YOU! Please consider baking and sharing your favorite treats for the bake table. Any kind of baked goods are fine — cakes, cookies, breads, brownies, cupcakes, etc. Items can be dropped at church either Friday evening or Saturday morning before 10:00 am.
