Dear people of God,<\/p>\n
It is with sadness that we share the news that Charles Lyons, Judy Lyons\u2019 father, died last evening. Charles, his surviving wife Connie, and their daughter Judy have a long involvement in Good Shepherd. Indeed, they have lived around the corner from our church since 1948 and Charles even helped build both our rectory and sanctuary. He was a professional brick layer and mason. He was 94 years old. Judy, their only child, is and has been a regular at our 8 am Rite 1 service for decades. Charles and Connie would have celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary this Saturday. Judy and Connie were at Charles\u2019 side at Northern Westchester Hospital yesterday, as he died in peace, receiving ministration at the time of death (\u201clast rites\u201d) from Fr. Hal.<\/p>\n
