Hi everyone – See below for the events coming up this week at Good Shepherd, and plan to join us!<\/p>\n

Saturday, June 10 – Parish Trip to the Cathedral<\/strong>
\nMeet at Good Shepherd at 7:45 am; bus leaves at 8:00 am. The Sunday School and Youth Group will attend focused guided tours and workshops. Adults not engaged in chaperoning will have an informal walk-about the Cathedral with Fr. Hal. Bring your own picnic lunch. We will supply water bottles for all. We will return to Good Shepherd by 4:00 pm.<\/p>\n

The cost is $20 per person to ride on the bus. Please bring either a check made out to the Church of the Good Shepherd or cash on Saturday. (Scholarships are available).<\/p>\n

We have room for 8 additional people. If your would like to join us, please email Megan at meganswiderski@hotmail.com<\/a> by Friday, June 9th at noon.<\/p>\n

Sunday, June 11 – Another busy Sunday at COGS<\/strong><\/span>
\n Trinity Sunday & Birthday Sunday<\/span>
\n 8:00 am<\/strong> – Rite 1 Said Eucharist<\/span>
\n 9:00 am<\/strong> – Monthly breakfast with the 8:00ers<\/span>
\n 10:00 am<\/strong> – Rite 1 Said Eucharist with Hymns<\/span>
\n Sunday School Graduation & Family Sunday<\/span>
\n 11:15 am<\/strong> – New Member Welcome<\/span>
\n Casual, information-sharing session in the Guild Room for all those that have joined Good Shepherd in the past year. It’s an invitation to come and learn more about the community, in a low-key environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Community Center of Northern Westchester<\/strong>
\nPlease keep the CCNW in your mind when you’re doing your own shopping. Their needs for the standard non-perishable foods are ongoing. In addition, right now they have made a special appeal for supplies for the 45 local kids ages 8-14 they’re sending to sleepaway camp. Their fees are covered, but they need help from the community ASAP to ensure they have the necessary gear. Please donate new or gently used sleeping bags, beach towels and duffels, as well as sunscreen and insect repellent. Let’s help them give these kids a great summer!<\/p>\n

Tuesday, June 13 – Trip to the Botanical Garden<\/strong><\/span>
\n All are welcome to join the Seniors on this trip! We will meet at the COGS parking lot at 9:30 am and carpool down. Lunch will be on your own, there are two restaurants on the grounds or you may bring a picnic lunch. The admission cost will be $18.00. Please note that there are trams available which will take the group to selected sites on the grounds so that walking is minimized. We plan to be back at COGS by 4:00 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wednesday, June 14 – Bible Exploration 12-1:30 pm<\/strong>
\nThis will be our final session before the summer. We will reconvene in the Fall.<\/p>\n
