Hi everyone,<\/p>\n
It is with a sad heart that I inform you that Roy Flury died last night. Roy suffered a significant stroke in July of 2015 and earlier this week had two more serious stokes that left him permanently paralyzed and unable to speak. He died quickly and peacefully in hospice care in Putnam Hospital. Roy and Arleen were married for 47 years. <\/p>\n
Arleen and I are planning a service to be celebrated here at Good Shepherd. When we know more details, we shall share them with you. Please keep Arleen, Roy, and their daughter Michelle in your prayers.<\/p>\n
“Into your hands, O merciful Savior, we commend our brother Roy. Acknowledge, we humbly beseech you, a sheep of your own fold, a lamb of your own flock, a sinner of your own redeeming. Receive him into the arms of your mercy, into the blessed rest of everlasting peace, and into the glorious company of the saints in light. May his soul and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.”<\/p>\n
