Tonight, June 8,\u00a0the Women’s Book Group<\/strong> meets in the Guild Room at 7:30 PM to discuss \u201cLone Wolf\u201d by Jodi Picoult.<\/p>\n

This Sunday, June 10,\u00a0is Sunday School Graduation & Concert<\/strong> at 10AM.\u00a0 Childcare as usual is provided (Sharen is away, but the Nursery will be staffed).\u00a0 The Outreach Committee<\/strong> is meeting after church this Sunday, and there will be a presentation by At Home in Somers\u00a0(http:\/\/www.athomeinsomers.org\/<\/a>) <\/strong>after church.\u00a0 Evening Prayer will be offered this Sunday in the Memorial Garden.<\/strong>\u00a0 If you are interested in leading Evening Prayer on June 17 or June 24, or any Sunday in July or August please speak to Father Matt.\u00a0 We are only scheduling Sunday Evening Prayer in the Garden\u00a0if someone signs up.\u00a0 Last Sunday the Evening Prayer is the Garden was simple and glorious.\u00a0 If you can’t make church on Sunday morning, I highly recommend coming to 5PM Evening Prayer in the Memorial Garden.\u00a0 Hopefully we will have leaders signed up soon for the summer so we can continue offering this great service.<\/p>\n

The Investment Committee Meeting on June 13 has been POSTPONED to a date to be determined.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

On Saturday, June 16,<\/strong> the Sustainability Committee invites you to a morning of vegetable picking at Hilltop Hanover Farm in Yorktown<\/strong>.\u00a0 Come anny time, but a number of people will be there around 10AM.\u00a0 You can pick your own vegetables.\u00a0 The SC plans to use some of those fresh vegetables to make dishes for the Father’s Day BBQ<\/p>\n

On Sunday, June 17, we are having our annual Father’s Day BBQ after the 10AM service.\u00a0<\/strong> There is a side\/appetizer\/dessert\/beverage signup sheet in the hallway.\u00a0 There is also a signup sheet for the BBQ watch<\/strong> – we still need volunteers to cover the 4-6AM and 6-8AM shifts.\u00a0 Please email Father Matt at mead@goodshepherdny.org<\/a> if you want to sign up for the watch – or sign up this Sunday!\u00a0 If you want to contribute to the beer\/beverage\/ice\u00a0fund<\/strong> for the Father’s Day BBQ, please bring some cash (or checks)\u00a0for the kitty this Sunday – its much easier to have the cash in advance to pay for the beverages – our estimates cost for the beverages and ice is $200.\u00a0 The plan is to have draft ale and fresh homemade lemonade and ice tea!\u00a0 If you want to assist with or donate to beverages, please speak to Father Matt<\/p>\n

The next Vestry Meeting<\/strong> is Thursday, June 28.<\/p>\n

Father Matt is on vacation in July.<\/p>\n
