Saint Mark’s Mount Kisco is offering a series of lectures entitled:<\/p>\n

Being the Church: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow: Religion, Spirituality, and American Culture Since 1945 – A Lecture Series by the Rev. William A. Doubleday, Priest in Charge, St. Mark\u2019s Church, Mt. Kisco<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

About the Lecturer:<\/strong> The Rev. William A. Doubleday taught Pastoral Theology, Episcopal Church History and Polity, and Church and Society for twenty five years, at The General Theological Seminary (1986-2005) and at Bexley Hall Episcopal Seminary in Columbus, Ohio (2005-2011), where he also served as Dean.<\/p>\n

Time:<\/strong> Six Non-Consecutive Tuesday Evenings from 7 pm to 8:30 pm<\/p>\n

Place:<\/strong> In the St. Mark\u2019s Episcopal Church Parish Library, 85 E. Main Street, Mt. Kisco, NY 10549<\/p>\n

\nThe 1980\u2019s and 1990\u2019s: \u201cSheilaism\u201d; Self-Help Movements; Rapid Technological Change; Two Career Households; Struggles Over Inclusivity, and the Ascendency of the Religious Right<\/p>\n

5. Tuesday, December 3, 2013:
\nThe 21st Century: Changing Local and National Demographics; Graying Congregations; Emergent Christianity; Spiritual, but Not Religious; and the Rise of the Nones \u2013 Those with NO Religious Preference.<\/p>\n
