There are lots of other activities, of course, many of which are free.<\/p>\n<p>For additional info on all rates click below.<\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/nysparks.com\/parks\/148\/fees-rates.aspx<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fishing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here is some needed info on fishing, which requires a little advance preparation.<\/p>\n<p>The cost for a boat rental for fishing is $7 per hour, I believe, with a returnable deposit of $30 per boat &#8211; CASH ONLY.<\/p>\n<p>I am told you can also fish from the edge of the same Mohansic Lake, so do not absolutely need a boat &#8211; but perhaps you enjoy the extra challenge!<\/p>\n<p>PLEASE NOTE &#8211; if you wish to fish\u00a0<strong>you need a fishing license<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>if age 16 or over.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can obtain a license online for $5 for the day or get one in advance at Yorktown Town Hall or Bob&#8217;s Tackle shop ( see below ).<\/p>\n<p>You do NOT need a separate Reservoir Access Permit for fishing in the State Park.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fishing License Info and Buying Online<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Contact the Call Center at 86NYDECALS (866-933-2257) if you have problems online.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yorktown Town Hall Info<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.yorktownny.org\/townclerk\/conservation-huntingfishing-licenses\">http:\/\/www.yorktownny.org\/townclerk\/conservation-huntingfishing-licenses<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Yorktown Phone: 914 962-5722 ext. 209<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fishing Equipment &amp; Bait<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Park does NOT have equipment rentals NOR does it have bait. You need to bring those\/go digging for worms in the Park if you have the inclination!<\/p>\n<p>Bob&#8217;s tackle shop is a good bet for bait and tackle and you can buy a rod and reel fairly inexpensively at KMART\/TARGET, of course.
