Lent 2013<\/p>\n
Dear Good Shepherd Parishioners,<\/p>\n
During Lent, which begins on February 13th<\/sup>, the Sunday School will be collecting toiletries for the Community Center of Northern Westchester (CCNW).\u00a0\u00a0 We are requesting that donations of full-sized shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and deodorant be brought to church by Easter Sunday.\u00a0 A collection box will be available at church near the food pantry basket.\u00a0 The items will be packed into gift bags that have been beautifully decorated by the children and delivered to CCNW.\u00a0\u00a0 The Center was so appreciative of this project last Easter and was thrilled to hear that we planned to repeat it!<\/p>\n As most of you know, CCNW serves many local families<\/i><\/b> (1,800 families in 2011) who are struggling to make ends meet.\u00a0 We are very fortunate to be able to help in such a tangible, hands-on way and to share this experience with our children.<\/p>\n Please help us with this project by bringing toiletries to church from now until
