Ministries

Volunteer time making Good Shepherd run smoothly!  Thanks to all of our volunteers!  If you are interested in lending a hand, please speak to the Rector or one of the Wardens, or a Committee Chair today!  Everyone is welcome to offer the gifts that God has given them for the upbuilding of the Church!

  • Vestry – Run for Vestry!  The Vestry meets once a month and monitors and oversees the mission and finances of the Parish.  Most of the Committees in the Parish are chaired by Vestry Members.
  • Outreach Committee – The Outreach Committee meets quarterly planning and organizing upcoming outreach projects.  Whether you want to be involved all year or just get help organizing and advertizing for an outreach event, the Outreach Committee is at your service.
  • Pastoral Care Team – The Pastoral Care Team serves and supports parishioners in times of need, and at least one member of the Prayer Group lifts the prayer list every day on behalf of the parish. This is a fun and fulfilling ministry. All are welcome to join us!
  • Budget, Stewardship & Fund Raising Committees – If you have a background in finance or fund raising, the church needs your gifts.  These three Committees plan and manage our annual budget, stewardship/pledge campaign, and various fund raisers throughout the year.  Join one or join them all!
  • Choir – If you can sing (even a little), then you should join the choir and make a joyful noise!
  • Sunday School Committee – If you like children, God is calling you to help teach Sunday School.  Sign up for a single 5 week session and give it a try!
  • Acolytes, Readers, Lay Readers, Lay Eucharistic Ministers & Eucharistic Visitors – You (or your children) can be part of our Worship & Pastoral Care Team by making sure we have readers, altar servers, non-clergy officiants and chalice bearers, and Eucharistic Ministers.
  • Altar Guild – Help clean and organize linens and set up and clean up for services.
  • Ushers & Welcome/Evangelism Committee – Help make every visitor have a fabulous experience.   You are invited to be a greeter and usher on Sunday or on Holy Days.  We also have a group of parishioners who follow up with visitors and provide welcome baskets.
  • Coffee Hour Host/Hostess – Sign up on the sheet in the Breezeway any time to help host Coffee Hour.
  • Birthday Card & Anniversary & Get Well Card Committee – Getting a note on a birthday, anniversary or when you are sick makes all the difference in the world.  Join our group of note and card writers.
  • Events Committee – Saint Paul was a tent builder, and you can be too!  Help organize and set up for our big evening events.
