Dear people of God,

It is with sadness that we share the news that Connie Lyons, Judy Lyons’ mother, died Monday evening. Connie, her late husband Charles, and their daughter Judy have a long involvement in Good Shepherd. Indeed, they have lived around the corner from our church since 1948 and Charles even helped build both our rectory and sanctuary. Charles passed away last September, just days before their 72nd wedding anniversary. Judy, their only child, is and has been a regular at our 8 am Rite 1 service for decades. Connie was 93 years old.

God our Creator, your grace gives life to all; receive Connie into your keeping and give her the new life promised through Jesus Christ our Savior, who once was dead and now lives with you and the Holy Spirit, for ever and ever. Amen.

Almighty God, Father of mercies and giver of comfort: Deal graciously, we pray, with all those who mourn; that, casting all their care on you, they may know the consolation of your love; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
