This Sunday: Healing Conversations & more

Hi everyone,

Important Interfaith Event this Sunday, March 24 at 3:00 pm:
The Hudson Valley Islamic Community Center (HVICC) and the Islamic Center of Peekskill have invited the wider community to participate in Healing Conversations where we recognize the victims of the New Zealand attack, remember the heroes, and transform our community through meaningful discussions. “While we know no single action can prevent an act of terrorism, we know the greatest force to drive out hate is love.”

Together with our fellow members of the Yorktown Interfaith Council, we proudly stand in solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters and will be participating in this event, which will take place at HVICC, 3680 Lexington Avenue, Mohegan Lake, NY 10547. Please attend.

Prayer for the Human Family (Book of Common Prayer, page 815)
O God, you made us in your own image and redeemed us through Jesus your Son: Look with compassion on the whole human family; take away the arrogance and hatred which infect our hearts; break down the walls that separate us; unite us in bonds of love; and work through our struggle and confusion to accomplish your purposes on earth; that, in your good time, all nations and races may serve you in harmony around your heavenly throne; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
